English French German Italian The Avant-Propos presents political poetry as a key analytical category for the study of European literary cultures between the twelfth and fifteenth centuries. Adopting a comparative and multilingual approach, the volume examines how poetic texts articulate, represent, and challenge power, thereby contributing to the construction of a European cultural space shaped by linguistic, religious, and political interactions. L’Avant-Propos envisage la poésie politique comme une catégorie heuristique privilégiée pour l’analyse des cultures littéraires européennes entre le XIIᵉ et le XVᵉ siècle. Adoptant une démarche comparatiste et plurilingue, le volume interroge les modalités selon lesquelles les textes poétiques élaborent, représentent et contestent le pouvoir, tout en contribuant à une réflexion sur les dynamiques linguistiques, religieuses et politiques qui structurent l’espace culturel européen médiéval. Das Avant-Propos präsentiert politische Dichtung als eine zentrale heuristische Kategorie für die Analyse europäischer Literaturen des 12. bis 15. Jahrhunderts. In komparatistischer und mehrsprachiger Perspektive fragt der Band danach, wie poetische Texte Macht verhandeln, darstellen und hinterfragen, und beleuchtet die sprachlichen, religiösen und politischen Dynamiken, welche den kulturellen Raum des mittelalterlichen Europa strukturieren. L’Avant-Propos inquadra la poesia politica come un osservatorio privilegiato per lo studio delle culture letterarie europee fra XII e XV secolo. In una prospettiva comparatistica e plurilingue, il volume esplora le forme attraverso cui la poesia interpreta, rappresenta e problematizza il potere, mettendo in luce la fitta rete di interazioni linguistiche, religiose e politiche che caratterizza lo spazio culturale europeo medievale.
