English This article answers a main research question: Are teachers more affected by burnout than physicians, nurses and other various professionals? In order to answer this research question, a systematic literature review was conducted. All the articles included in the analysis used the Maslach Burnout Inventory (94 studies, 121 samples). Results show that occupations are impacted differently by burnout in the three sub-dimensions (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and lack of accomplishment).
