A partire dalla visita di Edith Stein nel museo Liebieg a Francoforte, il contributo propone un’analogia tra vissuto estetico e religioso, ossia cerca di concepire la relazione con un’opera d’arte come un incontro che implica gratuità, unicità ed empatia. Come le relazioni personali, anche l’incontro con un’opera d’arte è importante nella scoperta e nel dispiegamento della personalità.
ABSTRACT: Beginning with the consideration of Edith Stein’s visit to the Liebiegmuseum in Frankfurt, the present contribution seeks to establish an analogy between lived experience of the esthetical and lived experience of the religious. It further, and more precisely, endeavours to consider the relation to a work of art as an encounter implying gratuity, uniqueness, and empathy. In a way similar to encounter in personal relations, the encounter with a work of art can be significant for the discovery and the unfolding of one’s personality.
