Entrare in sé per uscire da sé? L’interiorità relazionale in prospettiva carmelitana

Partendo della Evangelii gaudium di papa Francesco si chiede in quale misura l’interiorità possa essere condizione per uscire da sé. Da un lato, l’interiorità può essere interpretata o vissuta come isolamento che può corrispondere a certe tappe o necessità della vita, ma non si può trattare di una soluzione duratura. Da un altro lato, l’interiorità in senso cristiano e nella prospettiva carmelitana è da considerare come la condizione della profondità di relazioni variegate con il mondo, con il prossimo e con Dio. Gli autori carmelitani Teresa di Gesù, Giovanni della Croce ed Edith Stein consentono di concepire l’interiorità paradossalmente come ciò che rende possibile il decentramento da sé e l’attenzione all’altro.
Abstract: Starting from Evangelii gaudium of Pope Francis, one wonders to what extent interiority can be a condition for going out of oneself. On the one hand, interiority can be interpreted or experienced as an isolation that can correspond to certain stages or necessities of life, without however being a lasting solution. On the other hand, interiority in the Christian sense and in the Carmelite perspective is to be considered as the condition of the depth of variegated relationships with the world, with one’s neighbour and with God. The Carmelite authors Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross and Edith Stein allow us to conceive interiority paradoxically as what makes decentralisation of oneself and attention to the other possible.
