English Two diastereoisomers of tetranuclear cyclometallated iridium complexes, either having an inner core of HEXOL-type [Ir(IrCl₂)₃]⁶⁺ unit and a surface of six chiral, didentate, cyclometallated ligands, are stereoselectively synthesized from an enantiopure pinenopyridine derivative.
