English
India’s art industry has gained national and international exposure and enjoyed an increase in the public’s interest. This has been stimulated by the emergence of a growing number of cultural initia-tives, such as important art biennales. The art industry plays a vital role in improving the country’s cultural value and attractiveness to visitors. Nevertheless, female artists remain underrepresented and struggle to find visibility and exposure because of their gender.
