Sediqe, Elahyan 2025 The concept of federalism has received attention among elite groups in society who seek power sharing and address historical grievances, but the prevailing political and legal discourse in Iran often sees the move towards federalism as a potential threat to national unity which can cause secession. This article examines a potential solution that preserves national unity while moving towards greater distribution of power and decentralization.
